The North Centre Township Planning Commission will hold a public meeting on March 19th, 2026 at 7:00pm at the North Centre Township Building, 1059 State Route 93, Berwick PA 18603 for the purpose of receiving public comment and considering a recommendation to the North Centre Township Supervisors regarding a proposed new Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map.
The proposed ordinance would replace the municipality’s existing Zoning Ordinance in full. The Planning Commission will review the draft ordinance, accept public comment, and consider whether to recommend its adoption to the governing body.
All interested persons are invited to attend the hearing and offer comments. A copy of the proposed Ordinances may be inspected at the North Centre Township Office during regular business hours, Wednesdays and Thursdays 9AM – 1PM.
The ordinances are in draft. The purpose of the hearing is to obtain public comment on the draft ordinances. North Centre Twp. Planning Commission will be reviewing the draft ordinances and putting their comments together, and the public may review and comment on the draft. The Township Supervisors will then (after review from Planning Commission of North Centre and Columbia County) host a public hearing for another opportunity for the public to comment and review on the draft ordinances before the ordinances are ready for adoption. The ordinances are also available for review at the Township Building 1059 State Route 93 Berwick PA 18603 on Wednesdays and Thursdays 9am-1pm.
