John Buck Memorial Food Bank

North Centre Township Residents who need extra help with food are able to go to the John Buck Memorial Community Food Bank at the Orange Township building, 2028 SR 487, on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 9:00 – 10:30 am, and the 4th Saturday of each month from
9:00 – 10:00 am. Please note the times for the week(s) you are attending.

There is also a Columbia County Food Distribution there on the second Saturday of the month. They offer different items from the regular food cupboard to residents. For the Columbia County Food Distribution, residents will need two forms of ID, to verify your address in the county such as a photo ID and a utility bill with your address on.
If you are interested in Volunteering your time or have any questions regarding donations, please contact Orange Township Secretary at 570-683-5836 or (570) 441-3106. If you would like to donate, you can drop anything off at the Orange Township Building during business hours (By appointment by calling the above number or Mondays 8:30 am to Noon). All support from the Communities are greatly appreciated. Currently, the Township and County programs are serving 60 residents, and during the holiday season, there are as many as 100 residents that need our community help.

While donations of food items are greatly appreciated and utilized, monetary donations are maximized by participation in low-cost group food sources enabling the food bank to purchase more items for less money. Volunteers are needed for the day of the distributions and the week prior to distributions.
